Our Wildlife Encounters Outreach Programs
The Wildlife Encounters Ecology Center is proud to offer some of the most respected and popular community education programs in the region. Our live-animal outreach programs are educational, interactive, and fun!
Our programs are generally able to be designed and delivered for ages 3+ and are offered year-round across much of New England.
Programs may be hosted anywhere approved in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, or Connecticut.
Additionally, we are excited to be hosting our own presentations at our Ecology Center location in Barrington for private groups or registered attendees! *Check out the On-Site Programs page for more details!

"Tiny Creatures Encounter"
The perfect basic and affordable program for small, or younger groups and virtual presentations! Very hands-on (at the Educator’s discretion) with a variety of small, safe, and amazing Ambassador Animals. All animals under 3 lbs. Exact 7 animals customized to your preferences.

"Junior Zookeeper Encounter"
Since 2004, this has been our most popular program! Includes more and larger hand-off animals and unusual exotics, but moderate in cost and able to be delivered in most venues such as classroom-sized spaces or outdoors. A varied selection of (7) Ambassador Animals, native or exotic, and a mix of hands-on and hands-off.

"Global Tour Encounter"
Our educator will lead the group on an “imaginary safari around the world!” Meet animals whose ancestors lived in a variety of habitats and places on Earth, while discovering their amazing adaptations, learning their eco-contributions and learning their personal stories.
Seven globally and biologically diverse Ambassador Animals are featured, and the program is delivered by one of our senior educators for an exceptional experience!

Program Requirements & Restrictions
“Home Zone” – NO TRAVEL FEE – Approx a 20-mile radius around Rochester, NH (examples: Kittery/Portsmouth, Wakefield, Epping, Sanford)
Mileage Rate 2021: $0.56 per mile round trip as calculated by our office, zipcode to zipcode for all New England locations.
*Maine Import Fee: $27 (effective 1/1/14, this is a per occurrence fee that we now will be reflecting on Maine customer invoices to offset the exceedingly high fees imposed by Maine regulatory agencies.)
- DEPOSITS are required for Private Parties and most Large Contracts. Check your contract/email terms and conditions or call us if you have questions.
- Corporate & Institutional payments by EFT/ACH or NET(x) terms are available.
- Credit Cards accepted through Paypal credit processing.
- We do also except payments by Paypal Transfer.
Unless otherwise specified in writing in your contract, by making a reservation you agree to and are bound to the following terms:
- A non-refundable security deposit is required within 2 weeks of booking – or your contract is subject to being void.
- All balances must be Paid In Full before or at the presentation/exhibit.
- Payment by check and/or cash are greatly preferred so as to avoid credit card transaction fees, and ensure as much of your support goes to animals and supporting farm/education operations as possible!!
- Temperature: 65-85 degrees
- Full Shade is required, by trees, permanent structure (pavilion for example) or stable tent.
- Dry space
- CALM & COMFORTABLE – slight breeze is ok, but no high winds or gusts.
*ANY exceptions must be approved on a case by case basis by the Director
- WILDLIFE: For regulatory or safety reasons, these animals are generally “hands-off” for the public. This statement by it’s nature is vague because (1) laws vary by state and (2) educators may have some discretion in certain circumstances.
- INTERACTIVE: Our “farm life”, “pet life” and friendlier wild species of Ambassador Animals. Most of these animals are rescues that were injured, abandoned or displaced… and they all have their own personal stories! At our discretion – all of these animals may be hands-on.

School Outreach & Enrichment Programs
Bring your curriculum to life with our educational outreach and enrichment program. Programs are available in-person (we come to you!) and virtually via your choice of Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Hangout, Google Meets, or Skype.
